Please accept our heartfelt welcome to the barely restrained wackiness of Art Smart's Dart Mart and Juggling Emporium. At Art Smart's we live by the maxim: "enjoy life and it will enjoy you." So, if you know what's good for you, and what's good for quality of life in general, you'll grab some things and come along for the trip. Just think of us as your activity director on the Good Ship Gonzo - your flight attendant in the swirling tie-dyed skies over Mount Zany - your… your… well… you get the idea.

Anyway, we built our foundation on providing quick and friendly service while having fun doing it. Our products are top quality and time tested, with prices so reasonable you'll feel an irresistible urge (CAUTION: Subliminal Message Ahead...buy something...please...buy something...c'mon...) to fill your cart plumb full of value at Art Smart's. Now, without further ado, here's a little ditty about where we came from and where we are today.

On April Fools Day, 1985, Art Smarts Dart Mart & Juggling Emporium opened its doors on the corner of Humboldt Ave. and Brady St. in the heart of Milwaukee's ever-bustling east side. In this diverse and eclectic neighborhood, Art Smart's quickly became an institution, and was called a "Sure Thing" in a Milwaukee Magazine article featuring local establishments.

Through word of mouth, and just because we're so downright likable, people from all over the Midwest were visiting Art's to check out the latest in over the top aero-amusements. Soon people from around the country were discovering what Art Smart's had to offer: Namely, the bee's knees in juggling props, darts and dart supplies, kites, flying discs and other gravity cheating devices.

In 1990, Art Smart's was honored to be recognized as "Milwaukee's Best Store For Summer" in Milwaukee Magazine's issue featuring the city's best businesses.

In June of 1998, Midwest Living magazine featured Art Smart's as a "Favorite Midwest Find" in an article entitled "Discoveries." The article includes a photo our fearless leader juggling torches within the confines of his own highly flammable establishment. And this, mind you, was all for the sake of getting just the right camera shot. Committed? Well, we didn't have the heart to sign the necessary papers.

Today, in addition to darts and juggling supplies, our line has expanded to golf discs, boomerangs, yo-yos, foot bags and a wide array of other items. Care for some chattering teeth? A rubber chicken? We have them. In fact we're always in search of new items to push the envelope of fun to unknown limits. Because of us, we like to think someday the sun will shine a little brighter; the birds will sing with a bit more vibrancy. Of course, we're prejudiced, but we feel our prejudice is tempered with just the slightest hint of modesty.
